See & Do

Whether you are on holiday or just here for a weekend, there is a multitude of activities to enjoy on the French Riviera. Thanks to its diverse landscapes, you can dip in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, hike in the mountains and in the winter you can even ski all on the same day.

Easy access

50 min from Nice airport and 30 min from the nearest motorway exit.
Public buses connect La Bergerie to the French Riviera.

Visit the French Riviera

Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Menton, Èze, Antibes …. this the French Riviera.

A heaven for cyclists

Whether road, gravel, or mountainbike, the choice of beautiful cycling routes across the Riviera is endless. A stone throw away from La bergerie is the celebrated Col Saint Roch from which you can continue to the infamous Col de Turini, rising 1,607 metres above the Mediterranean.

Visit Lucéram village

Lucéram is a delightful small mountain village that you can reach from La Bergerie in less than 10 min by car, or walk to in 25 minutes. Perched above a loop of the Paillon river, Luceram was once a fortified outpost located on the ancient Salt Road. The church of Sainte-Marguerite of Austria is a listed historical monument. Its baroque interior is a real delight, in particular a Renaissance altar piece attributed to the great Giovanni Baleison.
Besides three restaurants, you will find two small stores supplying basic necessities and a butcher. "Du Coq au Boeuf" takes your order for fresh bread, croissants and pain chocolat (delivered by the delicious bakery in Escarène).  The village is renowned for their decoration and “christmas crèche walk” which starts in the beginning of December until the beginning of January.
